Get Started with FieldCamp Inbox

Set up FieldCamp Inbox channels, understand folders and assignments, and find the separate Calls, SMS, and Tasks workspaces.

FieldCamp Inbox is the shared workspace for customer conversations across connected channels. It opens to All conversations and organizes work with folders, channel filters, handlers, and saved views. Start with the Inbox overview for a complete map of the current interface.

Before you begin

  • Confirm that your role can access Inbox.
  • Ask an administrator to connect the communication channels your team uses in Settings → Apps & Integrations.
  • Decide how conversations should be assigned, prioritized, snoozed, and resolved.

Open Inbox

  1. Select Inbox in the sidebar.
  2. FieldCamp opens All conversations.
  3. Select a folder, channel, handler, or saved view in the Inbox sidebar to narrow the conversation list.
  4. Open a conversation to review its history and customer context.

The folders include active queues such as Assigned to me, Unassigned, Handled by AI, Needs attention, and Snoozed, plus Resolved and Trash for completed or removed conversations.

Connect and filter channels

The Channels section reflects accounts connected for the workspace. Depending on your setup, it can include email, SMS, voice, WhatsApp, web chat, online booking chat, Messenger, Instagram, or RingCentral.

Select one channel to show only its conversations. Use the add control beside Channels to open communication integrations when a new account needs to be connected.

For mailbox connection, threading, and reply behavior, follow Email management.

Assign and resolve conversations

Open a conversation, then use the controls available to your role to:

  • claim, assign, or unassign it;
  • assign it to an active AI agent;
  • add a label or set its priority;
  • reply, add an internal note, attach a file, or schedule a send;
  • snooze, resolve, reopen, or move it to Trash; and
  • watch it for updates.

When a teammate replies to a conversation currently handled by AI, FieldCamp pauses the AI and transfers the conversation to that teammate.

Find Calls, SMS, and Tasks

Calls, SMS, and Tasks no longer appear as top-level Inbox tabs.

Daily Inbox routine

  1. Start with Assigned to me and Needs attention.
  2. Claim or assign unowned conversations.
  3. Reply or leave an internal note with the next action.
  4. Snooze conversations that must wait for a specific time.
  5. Resolve conversations only when no follow-up remains.
