FAQ's

Which roles can access the Inbox?

Inbox access depends on your role and permission level. Admin and Dispatcher roles have full Inbox access by default. Field Technician Pro has view-only access (can read messages and view tasks assigned to them). Field Technician Lite has no access to the Inbox. See Roles & Permissions for the full breakdown of what each role can access.

Do I need to connect Gmail before I can use the Inbox?

No. You can use the Inbox for tasks, calls, and messages without connecting Gmail. However, to send and receive emails through FieldCamp, you need to connect your Gmail account in Settings → Apps & Integrations. See Connecting Gmail for setup instructions. Outlook email integration is also available.

Can I see emails and calls for my entire team, or just my own?

That depends on your role's permission level. With "Full management" or "Full access" on the Inbox module, you can see all team communications. With "View only," you only see messages and tasks assigned to you. Admin and Dispatcher roles can see all team communications by default. See Roles & Permissions for details.

Is there a way to assign a conversation to a specific team member?

Yes. Within the Inbox, you can assign tasks and conversations to specific team members. Click on a conversation or task, then use the assignment dropdown to select a team member. Only team members with Inbox access will appear in the assignment list.
