AI Usage — Balance, Purchases & Activity | FieldCamp
Open FieldCamp AI Usage to check the dollar balance, buy credit packs, review team activity and transactions, and compare monthly AI costs.
FieldCamp tracks AI usage as a dollar balance. The AI Usage page shows the amount remaining, purchased, and used, along with team activity, purchases, transactions, and monthly analytics.
Before you begin
Only the account owner can open AI Usage. Team members are redirected to General settings. For a broader map of the settings area, see the FieldCamp settings overview.
AI Usage is separate from Plan & Billing. Open Settings → AI Usage to manage AI funds and review usage.
Open AI Usage
- Open Settings.
- Select AI Usage.
- Review the balance card at the top of the page.
The balance card shows:
- your remaining balance in US dollars;
- the total amount purchased; and
- the total amount used.
The progress bar changes as the remaining amount decreases. Select Buy Credits on the balance card to open the purchase tab.
Review team usage
The Team Usage tab summarizes activity by team member for one month.
- Use the left and right arrows to select a month. You cannot move beyond the current month.
- Review each member's Messages and Cost.
- Use the source filter to narrow the table.
Available source filters are Chat, Voice, AI Receptionist, Online Booking, Speech to Text, and AI Summary. The total row adds the message count and dollar cost for the selected month and sources.
Usage follows the person who initiated the AI action, so your team and role setup affects which names appear in the report.
Buy credits
The Buy Credits tab offers four preset dollar packs:

You can also enter a custom amount from $5 to $500.
- Select Buy Credits.
- Choose a preset pack, or enter a custom amount and select Purchase.
- Complete the hosted checkout.
- Return to FieldCamp after payment.
After a successful return, FieldCamp verifies the checkout session, refreshes the balance, and opens Transactions. If verification is still pending, the page reports that state instead of treating the purchase as complete.
For subscription and plan changes, use Plan & Billing. Credit-pack purchases remain in AI Usage.
Review transactions
Open Transactions to inspect individual balance changes and AI activity.
- Use From and To to limit the date range.
- Use the source filter to isolate one or more AI surfaces.
- Review the date, transaction type, source, input, output, and amount.
- Scroll to load additional rows when more transactions are available.
Purchase, bonus, usage, and refund records use different transaction types. A source is shown for usage rows when the event provides one.
Use Analytics
The Analytics tab shows monthly totals and team-level comparisons.
- Total Messages counts activity for the selected month and sources.
- Total Cost adds the corresponding dollar usage.
- Cost by Team Member compares each member's spend.
- Messages by Team Member compares activity counts.
Use the month selector and source filter to change the reporting window. For examples of the AI actions that can create usage, see the Command Centre guide.
AI Usage does not provide Auto Top-Up or a CSV export control. Buy packs manually and use Transactions or Analytics to review activity.
Troubleshooting
A team member cannot open AI Usage
This page is owner-only. Confirm the user is signed in as the account owner rather than an invited team member.
A purchase is not reflected yet
Return through the checkout completion flow so FieldCamp can verify the session. Refresh AI Usage and check Transactions for the purchase record. A pending message means verification has not completed yet.
A report has no rows
Clear the source filter, confirm the selected month or date range, and check again. The page shows an empty state when no matching usage or transactions exist.
