Clock in, breaks and My day | FieldCamp

Start your day, take a break and clock out in FieldCamp My day, review a past day, and check the flags raised on your own timesheet entries.

My day is the technician screen for the Timesheet add-on. It shows one running total for the day, the buttons to start and end that day, and any flags a manager has to review on your time.

Managers and dispatchers get the same clock inline at the top of The Ledger, so they can record their own hours without leaving the manager view.

Before you begin

  • A workspace administrator must install the Timesheet add-on.
  • Field Technician Pro and Field Technician Lite roles open My day directly from the Timesheet sidebar item.
  • Allow location access on the device. FieldCamp captures a location with each action so the day can be verified against the job site.
  • Clock-in methods are set per workspace in Timesheet settings. Manual tap is the method used by the buttons on this screen.

Start your day

  1. Open Timesheet in the sidebar. Field technicians land on My day.
  2. Select Start day.

The status line changes to Clocked in since HH:MM and the large timer begins counting. Under it, Today shows the paid total so far.

Take and end a break

While you are clocked in:

  1. Select Take a break.
  2. The status chip changes to On break and shows the live break length.
  3. Select End break to go back on the clock.

Whether break time is paid is a workspace setting. See Paid breaks in Timesheet settings.

End your day

  1. Select End day.
  2. The status line changes to Ended at HH:MM.

The day then shows three totals:

TotalWhat it counts
TotalEverything between your first clock-in and your last clock-out
BreakTime recorded on breaks
WorkTime attributed to work on visits

If you forget to clock out, the ledger raises a Missed clock-out exception for a manager to correct. It does not silently close the day for you.

Look at a past day

Use the arrows beside the date to move back a day at a time, and Today to return. Past days are read-only reconstructions: the buttons are hidden and you see the totals your manager sees. You can only open your own days.

Check your flags

The bottom of the screen shows either No open flags or My flags with a count.

  1. Select My flags to expand the list.
  2. Each entry shows the flag title, a short detail line, and a severity dot.

Flags are read-only for technicians. A manager resolves them from the exception inbox.

When an action fails

If a clock action cannot be saved, the screen keeps an error banner with a Retry control and reverts the timer to the last confirmed state. Retry once you have a connection again; do not tap the button repeatedly, because the screen already blocks a second action while one is in flight.
