FieldCamp offers four distinct user roles to match your team's structure and security needs. Each role provides specific access levels to features and data.

The Four User Roles

Full system access for business owners and managers who need complete control.

Dispatcher

Operations management for office staff who handle scheduling and customer communication.

Field Technician Pro

Advanced field access for senior technicians and team leads.

Field Technician Lite

Basic field access for entry-level technicians and contractors.

Job Management

Creating and Managing Jobs

Admins & Dispatchers can create jobs for any client and manage all jobs in the system.

Tech Pros can create new jobs using the client search dropdown but only edit their own jobs.

Tech Lite users cannot create jobs—they work only on assigned visits.

Admins & Dispatchers:

Tech Pro:

  • Cannot see other techs' schedules

Tech Lite:

  • View own visits only

  • Cannot create or modify events

  • Can see optimized route for their day

Managing Role Changes

When changing a user's role:

  1. Changes take effect immediately

  2. Users may need to log out and back in

  3. Provide training for new features

  4. Review what data they'll lose access to
