Why Connect Gmail?
Connecting Gmail lets you send and receive emails directly inside FieldCamp. Customer replies to invoices, estimates, and appointment confirmations all appear in your Inbox — no need to switch between apps.
Also available: If you use Microsoft Outlook instead of Gmail, the process is similar. Go to Settings → Apps & Integrations and look for Outlook instead.
How to Connect Gmail
Go to Settings → Apps & Integrations.
Find Gmail in the list and click Connect.
A Google sign-in window opens. Sign in with the Gmail account you want to use.
Review the permissions FieldCamp is requesting and click Allow.
You are redirected back to FieldCamp. Gmail now shows as Connected.
Important: FieldCamp needs permission to read, compose, and send emails on your behalf. These permissions are required for the integration to work. FieldCamp only accesses emails related to your business — it does not read your personal emails.
What You Can Do After Connecting
Once Gmail is connected, several features become available across FieldCamp:
Unified Inbox
Your Inbox in the sidebar shows emails sent to and from your connected Gmail address.
Customer replies appear in both FieldCamp Inbox and Gmail.
The Inbox has tabs for Email, Calls, Tasks, Messages, and Important items — all in one place.
Send Emails from FieldCamp
When you send an invoice or estimate, the email goes through your Gmail account (so it appears in your Gmail "Sent" folder too).
Appointment confirmations and reminders are sent from your business email address.
You can compose new emails to clients directly from FieldCamp.
Sync Management
FieldCamp tracks your sync history so you can see when the last sync occurred.
You can trigger a manual resync from the integration settings page if emails aren't appearing.
Disconnecting Gmail
Go to Settings → Apps & Integrations.
Find Gmail and click Disconnect.
Confirm the disconnection.
After disconnecting, emails will no longer sync between Gmail and FieldCamp. Your existing email history in FieldCamp is preserved.
Troubleshooting
If Gmail is not syncing properly:
Check that the connection still shows as Connected in Settings → Apps & Integrations. If it shows an error, disconnect and reconnect.
Try the Resync button on the Gmail integration page to force a manual sync.
Make sure you granted all required permissions during setup. If you denied any permissions, the integration will not work correctly.
Check your Gmail account's security settings — some organizations block third-party app access.
