What is Email Canvas?

Email Canvas is FieldCamp's AI-powered email composition tool that generates professional emails in seconds using natural language commands. This feature integrates with your Gmail account to draft, customize, and send emails directly from FieldCamp without switching applications.

To use the Email Canvas feature, Gmail integration must be enabled from the Settings section.

Steps to Use Email Canvas

Prerequisites

Required Setup

  • Gmail Integration: Must be connected in Settings > Integrations > Gmail

  • Client Email Addresses: Stored in client records for auto-population

  • User Permissions: Email access enabled for your role

How to Use Email Canvas

Step 1: Generate Email Draft

Open Command Centre and type your request in natural language:

Example Commands:

  • "Write an email to John Smith thanking him for his business"

  • "Send invoice reminder to ABC Company"

  • "Follow up with Sarah about tomorrow's HVAC maintenance"

  • "Confirm appointment with client at 123 Main Street"

  • "Request payment for invoice #1234"

Step 2: Review Generated Email

Email Canvas automatically creates:

  • Subject Line: Based on email purpose

  • Recipient: Pulled from client record

  • Email Body: Professional formatted content

  • Signature: Your configured email signature

Step 3: Customize Email Content

Edit Options Available:

  • Subject Line: Modify for clarity or urgency

  • Body Text: Add specific details or remove sections

  • Recipients:

  • Attachments: Add invoices, quotes, or documents

Tone Adjustments:

  • Professional: Formal business communication

  • Friendly: Warm, conversational approach

  • Urgent: Emphasizes immediate action needed

  • Apologetic: For service delays or issues

Length Options:

  • Brief: 2-3 sentences

  • Standard: 1-2 paragraphs

  • Detailed: Comprehensive explanation

Step 4: Send or Schedule

Actions Available:

  • Send Now: Immediate delivery

  • Save Draft: Store in Gmail drafts

  • Schedule Send: Set specific delivery time

  • Cancel: Discard changes
